    Discover the benefits of Mocean

Aerodynamic excellence that combines form with function

Sleek and attractive, the IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid makes a powerful first impression

Whatever your perspective, the elegant lights draw the eye with their
curved outline, seamlessly integrated into the car’s profile.

    LED headlights

Sleek headlights use LED projectors for both low and high beam.

    LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL)

Dynamic curved LED daytime running lights frame the air intakes that feed the active airflow, reducing turbulence around the front wheels.

A clean and refined design inspired by the flow of air.

The side sill mouldings keep air close to its body, while the front wheel air curtains redirect turbulent air.

    16˝ alloy wheels

The stylish and intricate alloy wheels are aerodynamically sculpted to minimise air turbulence and deliver optimal fuel economy.

    Fastback aerodynamic design

Striking design accents are integrated into the smooth sculpted surfaces of the bodywork and enhance airflow further.

The horizontal layout emphasises IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid's wide volume and sporty, unique image.

The harmonious combination of rear spoiler, lower glass area, combination lamps, contrasting
bumper insert and signature blue colour accent confirms the complete integrity
of the IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid's design.

    Bumper design

The rear design of IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid is dominated by strong horizontal elements that emphasize its wide-track stance.

    Rear combination lights

LED rear lights are brighter, use less energy and reinforce the design integrity of the IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid while conventional bulb indicators provide a clear signal of intention to following drivers.

    Integrated rear spoiler

IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid’s integrated rear spoiler minimises turbulence and air
resistance while increasing the down force for a more stable driving experience.
A rear view camera aids visibility.

The IONIQ’s interior is designed around the philosophy of clean simplicity

Sometimes it’s the small things which can make a difference. For example - having heated seats and steering wheel for cold mornings, being able to charge your smartphone wirelessly, or switching the rear view monitor on for extra visibility while driving.

    A base for tranquillity

Light and pure - the interior of the IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid has been designed to be effortlessly elegant, efficiently clutter-free and logically forward-thinking.

    Always in touch

The large 10.25" touch screen is the nerve centre of the IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid, providing navigation, media and driving information. Connectivity is provided by Apple CarPlayTM, AndroidTM Auto plus connections from two separate Bluetooth® devices can be made at once. Voice recognition can also read and send SMS messages.

    Triple mode virtual cluster

The high resolution 7 inch TFT supervision cluster displays key driving and energy flow information and features different colour schemes according to driving mode.

    Plug-in Hybrid performance
IONIQ Plug-In Hybrid is powered by a specially developed powertrain
that adds driving pleasure to the environmental benefits of a hybrid system. When IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid's two hearts beat as one, the combined output of the 1.6L engine and electric motor reaches a highly gratifying 141PS. They also operate independently as conditions require. So seamless are the transitions between pure electric, hybrid and petrol-only driving modes that they are barely noticeable. In pure electric mode, IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid's range extends up to 32 miles thanks to the 8.9kW/h lithium-ion polymer battery.
    Hybrid Mode
    Electric Mode

    Driving with peace of mind

When used as a conventional hybrid electric vehicle, a computer selectively
operates between the engine and the electric motor – or even both at the same time –
depending on the level of power required to travel.

When it’s operating in electric mode, the vehicle is driven only using the electric motor
until the charge from the high voltage battery becomes too low, at which point it reverts
    to the hybrid mode automatically.

Pure electric mode gives you up to 39 miles of zero tailpipe emissions,
depending on your driving style and road conditions

    Two become one

The combined output of the 1.6 litre engine and electric motor can reach a
capable 141PS. They also operate independently as conditions require.
The transition between pure electric, hybrid and petrol-only
    driving modes are seamless.

    Driving Satisfaction

Hyundai’s 6-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) provides rapid
feedback for a sporty and efficient driving experience.

    Strong and agile

The striking silhouette exudes a dynamic impression
while driving stability and efficiency is ensured with
IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid's innovative use of lightweight
    aluminium and high-strength steel.

ECO Driving Assist System (ECO DAS)

ECO-DAS includes a unique Coasting Guide feature which analyses road and route information to help achieve optimal fuel efficiency. Just pre-set your destination on the navigation system and ECO-DAS notifies you in advance when deceleration is expected, thus minimising braking and reducing fuel consumption

IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid can be charged in a variety of ways, at home or on the go.
So you can take every opportunity to enjoy zero emission driving.
    At Home
    • Emergency Occasional
IONIQ Electric is delivered with an In-Cable Control Box (ICCB) Emergency 3 Pin Connector that can be used when travelling to places with no other dedicated charging solutions. Charging time is approximately 6 hours.
    • Wall box
In order to optimise the performance of the IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid, we strongly recommend that owners have a charging system at home. This can provide a 100% charge in 2 hours 15 minutes. In the UK, POD Point is Hyundai’s preferred partner for domestic charge points and features £350 (including VAT) of government support towards purchase and installation.
    On the go

Every IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid is equipped with our advanced navigation system which includes the category ‘Charging Station’ in its Point Of Interest (POI) menu. Selecting ‘Charging Station’ will identify your nearest public charging stations and guide you to the location of your preferred station.

The IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid navigation system also provides guidance to the most convenient charging stations along your preferred route.

Roads may change, but your vehicle should be stable in any situation.
Our focus is safety and stability and the wellbeing of all occupants.

    • Lane Departure Warning System with Lane Keep Assist (LKAS)

This warns drivers that they are potentially drifting out of lane. A camera mounted in the
windscreen recognises lane markings. If the vehicle starts to drift over the lane markings,
without a turn signal being applied, it activates a visual and audible alert for the driver.

    • Blind Spot Detection (BSD)

The system available on Premium SE models informs the driver of vehicles in the blind spot
and passing cars. It keeps the driver informed of cars that are following and potentially
passing, but may be in a hard-to-see blind spot that can’t be easily viewed using the rear
view mirror or wing mirrors. It informs drivers with a graphic in the wing mirror.

    • Autonomous Emergency Brake (AEB)

This system helps you avoid accidents. On detecting the risk of a collision with a pedestrian,
cyclist or another vehicle it initially gives a visual and aural warning to the driver,
before automatically applying the brakes according to the degree of danger.

    • Smart Cruise Control (SCC)

The system makes driving easier and safer. It uses the front-mounted radar sensor to
monitor vehicles ahead and automatically maintains a pre-set speed and safe distance to
the vehicle in front by regulating the throttle and applying the brakes when needed up until
the traffic comes to a stop.

    • eCall

In the event that airbags are deployed, eCall will automatically contact an emergency
assistance call centre where the operator can assess the situation and contact the
relevant services, if required. There is also an eCall button which can be manually
      pressed for assistance.
