High quality interior materials, dark metal inserts and red accents underline the elegant sporty character of the i30 Fastback N and its performance roots.
The N sports steering wheel features red stitching as well as the N logo. It puts all the driving performance features right at your fingertips; choose your drive mode or activate rev matching at the push of a button.
Ideally positioned for easy interaction, the high
definition touch-screen almost seems to float
above the dashboard. This design allows
multimedia and driving performance
information to be displayed displayed higher
and nearer your line-of-sight. Featured driving
data includes horsepower, torque, turbo boost
and g-force as well as a lap and acceleration timer.
The i30 Fastback N instrument cluster is customised for passionate drivers. Featuring a shift timing indicator to support track driving, the red zone of the variable LED rev-counter changes according to the engine’s oil temperature. You can monitor engine oil temperature, torque, and turbo boost in the cluster.
Dual-zone automatic air conditioning allows both driver and front passenger
to set their preferred temperatures individually.
The Fastback N provides you with the seamless
connectivity you expect and innovative technology
that makes life easier. An 8” touch screen display
makes everything easily accessible with Apple CarPlay™
and Android Auto™. There’s even a centrally located
wireless charging pad (Qi standard) for easy,
cable-free, charging of a compatible smartphone.
The ball-type gear knob also features a red stripe and the N logo. Paired with a six-speed manual transmission, it is perfect for driving enthusiasts.
Welcome to a whole new level of seat comfort.
Featuring the N logo and red contrast stitching,
the uniquely designed high performance sport
seats keep you in control and comfortable, with
electric lumbar support and extendable seat cushions.
The newly developed 2.0 T-GDi engine delivers high responsiveness and a rich torque curve supported by an overboost function that temporarily increases torque by 8%. The i30 Fastback N features front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission with stronger gears, a carbon synchronizer ring, and a strong clutch.
Developed in-house, the traction and stability control is like a good co-pilot, helping when
necessary but otherwise being quiet, never disturbing your driving fun. If desired, it can be
switched off completely for maximum racetrack feeling.
Enjoy high performance cornering capabilities for maximum fun. The i30 Fastback N is fitted with
an electronically controlled limited slip differential specifically designed and engineered by Hyundai
to handle the most challenging corners The differential maintains maximum stability throughout braking,
and when entering and exiting corners. It allows driven wheels to turn at different speeds by applying
different amounts of torque to them, reducing wheel slip in and minimising understeering in corners.
Feel like letting your wild side run free? The active variable exhaust system lets you select
different levels of exhaust sound from relatively restrained in Normal mode, to the crackling
“after-burn” growl of the N mode.
At the push of a button, you have the choice of five distinct drive modes to match your mood:
Eco, Normal, Sport, N and N Custom. The different modes change the character of the car by adjusting the
parameters of engine throttle response, suspension stiffness, electronic limited slip differential,
steering weight, and rev-matching intensity
The launch control system gives you maximum traction
for the fastest possible launch. It regulates the amount
of torque sent to the front wheels in order to reduce
wheel spin or slip on a hard acceleration from a standing start.
Using the button on the steering wheel, activate rev matching to enjoy the fastest, smoothest downshifts whether you're on a circuit or a challenging road. Rev matching synchronizes the engine and gearbox speed for the next gear during the shift process, reducing wear and enhancing braking performance.
Operating in three stages using camera sensors, it warns the driver visually and audibly. In a second stage, it controls the brakes according to the collision danger stage, and in a third stage applies maximum braking force to avoid a collision or minimise damage if a collision is unavoidable.
Using the front camera, the Forward Collision Warning system on i30 Fastback N detects the potential for any frontal collision and alerts the driver of the danger.
At speeds over 37 mph the Lane Keep Assist System alerts the driver about unsafe movements. In case of an unintended lane departure, it will warn the driver and can apply counter steering torque to guide the car back to a safe position.
Less stress and maximum visibility, Smart High Beam detects vehicles on the road ahead and switches to low-beam as appropriate, thereby reducing blinding effects on other drivers. When no more vehicles are detected, the system automatically reactivates the high beam, maximising the driver’s range of vision.
Figures shown are for comparability purposes; only compare fuel consumption and CO2 figures with other cars tested to the same technical procedures. These figures may not reflect real life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors including accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, driving styles and vehicle load. * There is a new test used for fuel consumption and CO2 figures. The CO2 figures shown however, are based on the outgoing test cycle and will be used to calculate vehicle tax on first registration. Find out more here
