The Hyundai Advanced Apprenticeship Programme is designed to train and develop Apprentices in a way that enables them to learn the core elements of their job role using advancing technology as well as fostering an exceptional level of customer service. The comprehensive, 3-year Programme provides apprentices with an exciting and challenging opportunity to achieve formal qualifications through extensive product training, while in full-time employment.
Upon completion, apprentices will gain a full Apprenticeship Completion Certificate from the IMI. Including IMI Awards Ltd qualifications at Level 3 for VCQ (Vocationally Competent Qualification) and VRQ (Vocationally Related Qualification) As part of the framework they will also complete Functional Skills, Core Skills or Essential Skills Wales dependent upon their residing nation. A Level 2 Employment Rights and Responsibilities qualification is also included.
The Advanced Service Technician Apprentice Programme is for 3 years and is delivered at the Hyundai training academy in High Wycombe. This is in partnership with Babcock Training. Apprentices will receive specific product knowledge in 1 week blocks of training. The learner will receive one to one learning sessions through a regular 12 weekly visit cycle from a Babcock Vocational Learning Adviser.
Both the Advanced Parts Apprentice Programme and Advanced Customer Service Advisor Programme are delivered over 2 years. A Level 2 Framework is achieved in 14 months and the Level 3 in a further 10 months. The Programme is delivered within the Hyundai dealership allowing Apprentices to study and achieve in their own working environment. This is carried out by one to one learning sessions through a regular 8 weekly visit cycle from a Babcock Vocational Learning Advisor.
In order to gain a place on the Apprenticeship programme, you must be sponsored by an Automotive Dealer close to your home. Here, you will be a full time employee of the approved site from day one and become part of the service team while you train.
Yes. All apprentices who are successful in gaining a position will be contracted and paid as a full time employee with that dealer.
You will carry out your 'off the job' training at the Hyundai Training Academy
During your three-year programme you will work towards an NVQ level 3 in vehicle maintenance and repair or Parts Consultant.
No, it doesn't. As a skilled Technician, you will be encouraged to increase your knowledge with further technical training courses at our various Training academies. You could even progress to a supervisory or management role, depending on your ability and ambition.
The training is completely free of charge to you, the apprentice. The fees are paid for by your employing dealer. The only cost to you is your dedication and commitment to succeed.

During your block release, you will stay at one of our hand-picked hotels near to the Training Centre. Transport to and from the Training Centre will also be provided if required. The cost of the accommodation is met by your sponsoring dealer.
To enrol, you must meet the following criteria;
• Be aged 16 or over;
• Ideally with a grade C or above in GCSE Maths, English and an IT subject or the Scottish Certificate of Education at grade C or above.
