Geneva Motor Show
Hyundai at the Geneva Motor Show 2017
One of the biggest events in the European automotive calendar – the Geneva International Motor Show gives manufacturers the opportunity to show off their latest and greatest new cars to the world.
This year, Hyundai is delighted to be showcasing two incredibly exciting cars: the futuristic zero-emission FE Fuel Cell Concept and the latest member of the i30 family, the New Generation Hyundai i30 Tourer
The Next Generation ‘Future Eco’ Fuel Cell Concept
Hyundai has been at the forefront of hydrogen vehicle development for 20 years, most recently with the world’s first mass-produced hydrogen-powered vehicle: ix35 Fuel Cell. The FE Fuel Cell Concept continues Hyundai’s future vision for zero-emission mobility that will see 14 or more new environmentally-focused models introduced by 2020.
Inspired by nature and water – the car’s only emission – the clean and calm design of the FE emphasises its non-polluting nature, while form follows function with dramatic and stylish rear air foil and integrated vents that provide aerodynamic efficiency.
Inside, one of the most notable characteristics of the new concept is its internal air humidifier, which recycles water emitted by the car’s clean hydrogen energy circulation to create a more comfortable cabin environment. The boot also features an integrated storage and charging space for an electric scooter.
Designed to run for more than 800 kilometers (497 miles) between refuelling, the FE Fuel Cell Concept will influence an SUV Fuel Cell model set for launch in 2018, together with an extensive hydrogen-powered Hyundai range.
Introducing the New Generation i30 Tourer – elegance meets versatility
This year’s Geneva Motor Show sees the unveiling of the i30 Tourer, a car that continues the timeless design of its five door cousin, but adds even greater versatility with class-leading boot space.
Along with 1,650 litres of space with seats folded, and additional space beneath the boot floor, the i30 features best-in-class safety equipment including Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), an intelligent system that applies the brakes automatically to avoid a collision or minimise damage when a collision is unavoidable.
The elegant and connected interior includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, letting you control your smartphone’s music and telephone from the console touchscreen, along with clever features such as a wireless charging tray. Under the bonnet, the Tourer is available with two petrol and one diesel engine including the all-new turbocharged four-cylinder petrol 1.4 T-GDI.
