Maintenance & Servicing

To ensure the continued reliability and safety of your vehicle, certain routine maintenance operations are required at specific mileage or time intervals. The recommended schedules are shown in the Routine Maintenance Servicing booklet supplied with the vehicle.

To protect the warranty we recommend you:

  • Ensure that the vehicle is serviced in accordance with our specified service schedule and that only genuine Hyundai supplied parts are fitted. With this in mind we recommend that the servicing be carried out by an authorised Hyundai Dealer who has all the skills, information and specialist equipment to do this.
  • Avoid abusing or misusing your car. Carry out all normal daily and weekly checks and top-ups of oils, fluids and coolant.
  • Report any faults to your nearest Hyundai Dealer as soon as they occur and have the faults rectified within the warranty period.
  • Use genuine Hyundai parts, oils, fluids and accessories.
  • Avoid modifications to, or poor installation of, accessories on your vehicle.

Note: The inspection and testing of certain electronic fuel injection/engine management and automatic transmission control systems require specialised electronic equipment specifically designed for Hyundai vehicles. The use of general purpose electrical test equipment may result in damage to the control unit microprocessors.

Routine Maintenance Service Record

The Routine Maintenance Service Record (in the warranty booklet supplied with the vehicle) will be required to be presented to the repairing authorised Hyundai dealer or Recovery Operator in the event of service under the warranty scheme, or Roadside Assistance programme, being required.

It is the responsibility of the vehicle operator to ensure that the routine maintenance services are performed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the warranty and that the servicing dealer validates the relevant section in this booklet upon completion of each service.

The Routine Maintenance Service Record is THE ONLY PROOF that the vehicle has been correctly serviced and that the warranty is valid. All routine maintenance servicing must be supported by a VAT invoice to provide adequate proof that the vehicle has been maintained correctly to reduce the risk of the manufactures Warranty being invalidated. The Routine Maintenance Service Record within the booklet must still be completed. The invoices must detail the Servicing Garage Name, Address, VAT number, Details of the Service carried out and parts that have been replaced etc.
