Safety
The Matrix is a people friendly car in every sense. Whether you're travelling with children, family or friends, safety is all important. The Matrix boasts a range of active and passive safety features to rival any car in its class, so you and yours will feel safe and secure at all times.
Anti-lock Brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD)
Hyundai's state of the art Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) prevents the wheels locking up in an emergency braking situation. The Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) uses sensors to determine where the braking force needs to be distributed to meet the road conditions. Together these systems make braking more precise and effective whilst increasing stability under heavy braking.
Central locking
Central locking comes as standard for increased convenience and security.
Driver and passenger airbags
All Matrix models feature driver, passenger and side airbags as standard equipment.
Immobiliser
The Matrix's sophisticated immobiliser uses a transponder-equipped key, antenna coil and EMS to ensure that only the original key can be used to start the car.
Seating
All seats have height adjustable head restraints to help prevent whiplash injuries in the event of a collision. There are also ISOfix child seat anchors in the rear and child proof door locks as standard across the range.
