Quality by design

Imaginative concepts. Inspirational ideas. Innovative designs. Our global design centres are buzzing with them.

Inside is where it all happens. At the design stage, the concepts created by examining consumer needs and the market analysis are shaped into real vehicles. New designs are created through computer-aided modelling, colour development, plus interior and exterior styling.

Through the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), 3D design systems are used to create the vehicle's body, chassis, interior and exterior, along with its electronic components and wiring.

The new vehicle is then put through a series of tests to assess its performance in environments that replicate actual driving conditions. These include crash tests, durability tests, driving tests, and braking tests as well as tests conducted under conditions of intense cold and heat. This way, we can ensure the finished product looks good, performs safely and feels great to drive.
